Counseling Corner
At William Diggs Elementary, we have two School Counselors. Ms. Keyana Green is assigned to students from Pre-K through 2nd grade. Ms. Desiree Allen is assigned to students from 3rd grade- 5th grade. The school counselor holds an important role in helping to educate, nurture, and support a child’s social, emotional, and academic growth. This is done through a variety of activities whether that be classroom guidance lessons or individual/group counseling sessions. As the school counselors, we work closely with children and families to help provide additional support that may be needed as your child matriculates through their elementary school years. In addition, to counseling and mental health support, we also work with various initiatives at the school like the Student Support Team, PBIS Team, and Tier 2 Team. As the school counselors, we are also a resource for families to help them locate community agencies that can provide additional assistance. We look forward to working with you and we are excited to be a part of the William A. Diggs Elementary School family!
